Robert (he/him) has worked in front-line criminal justice for over 30 years, first as defence counsel and later as Crown counsel in Manitoba and Ontario. His career spans remote First Nations communities and urban centres, always with a focus on trauma-impacted populations. Robert is a passionate advocate for trauma-informed practice and mental health resiliency among professionals. He also teaches at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law in Thunder Bay.
