Aonghus (he/him) graduated from University College Cork with First Class Honours in both his BCL degree and a Masters in Criminal Justice. In 2008, while completing his Masters thesis, he was awarded the top score nationally in the FE1 entrance exams—out of over 900 candidates. He subsequently secured a highly sought-after traineeship with Ireland’s largest corporate law firm.

After qualifying as a solicitor, Aonghus made the bold decision to leave the corporate sector and pursue his true passion: advocating for justice for the most vulnerable in society. In 2012, he established AMC Solicitors, with a focus on criminal defence, human rights and child law.

Since then, Aonghus and his dedicated team have built a strong reputation for fearless representation and client-focused service. AMC Solicitors has played a key role in some of Ireland’s most significant legal decisions over the past decade, establishing itself as a leader in its field.
